Victoria Police is concerned about the stolen cars in Hume. To reduce this number Victoria Police is running a operation called Operation Bounce Back along with the council. This operation will start on Wednesday, 14th September. This operation will provide vouchers for FREE Engine Immobilisers. Moreover, the operation personals will provide some advice for preventing car theft. The vouchers for FREE Engine Immobiliser will be distributed among the owners of cars made before 1992. Broadmeadows Leading Senior Constable Leigh Harris said that as the thieves were interested in older vehicles, they are trying to reduce the number of older car stolen. The vouchers will be limited in numbers. So, collect your vouchers from 7 am to 9 am in a Police and Council stall outside the Broadmeadows Railway Station on 14 September. Be sure the driver of the vehicle lives in Hume and provide the license along with car registration to be eligible for a FREE immobiliser.
